Indicted last April by a judge from Junalco (National Jurisdiction for the Fight against Organized Crime), Amira was placed in detention, along with eleven other members of this network of smugglers accused of a crime of “trafficking in “human beings in organized gangs and crimes of aiding the entry of foreigners, forgery and use of forged documents”. The gang, made up of Moroccan and Serbian criminals, was very active between 2022 and 2023 in the Paris region, more precisely in Bobigny, and abroad, notably in Tunisia and Serbia, relays The Parisian. During the period, they allegedly helped thousands of migrants enter illegally into Île-de-France, a traffic which would have earned them millions of euros.
The mother of two children aged six years and six months, whom she had with Mohamed K., the head of the criminal network, was living in Spain at the time of the events. “This singer, with dual Italian and Tunisian nationality, benefits from a certain notoriety. She traveled to Serbia and would have participated in the implementation of videos intended to promote the good reception conditions for migrants in these mafia hotels,” specifies the judge of the investigating chamber.

The thirty-year-old denies any involvement in this trafficking. “I have no connection with my ex-husband’s work. I am separated and I even filed a complaint for domestic violence against him. Because of this man, I lost everything: my job, my money, my land in Tunisia and even my home. I only have my children left who I want to find,” she declared during her questioning before the investigating judge. Amira has no record and “did not have an active role in these facts”, according to her lawyer, Mohsen Jaidi.
“She is a business leader and a recognized artist who represents no risk for French society,” he argued. Arguments which undoubtedly led the court to order his release under judicial supervision. As for Mohamed K., he was recently arrested in Morocco. His extradition to France should not be effective, as the Kingdom does not extradite its nationals. “This is an extremely serious subject. There are still investigations to be carried out on this very active network in France, Tunisia and Serbia. And all the people involved in this agency for illegal migrants have not yet been identified,” explains the attorney general.
