Next night and tomorrow morning, an active cold front crosses Brittany from west to east with winds reaching gale threshold.
The wind is strengthening this evening, still from the southwest, on the tip of Brittany with gusts up to 100 km/h, as well as in the interior of Finistère and on the heights of the Côtes d'Armor with gusts up to at 90 km/h, 70 to 80 km/h in the western half of Brittany.
As the cold front passes overnight, the expected wind gusts, still from the southwest, are around 70 to 90 km/h in Finistère, Morbihan and Côtes d'Armor, locally 100 km/h. h on the heights of the Côtes d'Armor and in the north of Finistère. Winds are expected to be as strong on the coast as inland.
In Ille-et-Vilaine, the front passes at the end of the night and the gusts are a notch lower, reaching 60 to 80 km/h, locally 90 km/h.
On the other hand, in the south of the Loire Atlantique, at the very end of the night and early morning, the passage of the front could be noticed, even if there are uncertainties, by powerful winds which can reach 90-100 km/h on the Pays de Retz, Vignoble Nantais and Pays d’Ancenis, 70 to 80 km/h in the rest of the department.
After the passage of this front, the wind shifts to the west-northwest. A lagging weather sets in with showers near the coasts in the second part of the day and the following night. Under these showers, gusts of 90-100 km/h are likely along the coast of Finistère and Côtes d'Armor, 60 to 70 km/h inland.
