The site Street Citiesrepresenting one of the largest global communities in terms of street art, has selected two frescoes created during the 2024 edition of the Dyeing Festival for its annual trophies for the most beautiful frescoes.

Among the most beautiful works in the world

Chosen for the category of best fresco of the year, the Immobile Travel by Rémi Tournier, located opposite the Notre-Dame-de-la-Faye school complex, can be found among 50 other works around the world, from Tokyo to New York via Lisbon or Tbilisi.

These fifty paintings were rigorously selected from more than a thousand others throughout the year 2024, based on their popularity and quality.

In the big leagues

For the two frescoes in competition, the final ranking will be established following a public vote to be submitted directly on the site before January 31. A simple email address is enough to validate your vote.

If the Aurecois frescoes are no strangers to awards, having already won the Golden Brush in 2014 as well as the bronze at Golden Street Art in 2022 and 2023, they have so far never competed for an international title, proof of the growing notoriety of the Dyeing Festival. Actively campaigning for the election of Street Art Cities since the end of December, the town hall has however denied having submitted any application.

In an interview given to Télévisions, the mayor, Claude Vial, was delighted with this growing notoriety, emphasizing that the frescoes have become a major tourist hub for the town.

Election of the best street art fresco of the year by Street Art Cities: voting until January 31 in the best fresco and artists’ choice categories.
