As it has done for more than ten years now, the Les Boucles de la Risle association in La Vieille-Lyre (Eure) closed its program of events by joining forces with the Telethon on December 2.

The success of Vendée brioches

The traditional toy exchange and oyster tasting – a first this year at the mayor's initiative Marc Morière – having enjoyed great success, we had to wait for the results of the sale of the Vendée brioches. A sale which ultimately broke a record.

We went from 340 brioches last year to 506 this year. Alone, Paul called Paulo, one of our volunteers, sold 75 of them. Everyone got involved and we should note the great mobilization of the school and businesses.

Guy Oursel, president of the Boucles de la Risle association

Congratulations from Santa Claus

During the delivery of the last brioches, an unexpected visitor, Santa Claus in this case, congratulated the great outpouring of generosity which was shown in favor of the Telethon, and who was also able to see that the Boucles de la Risle has been able to put solidarity at the heart of its actions.

€600 more than last year

From 1,100 euros last year, the amount collected for the Telethon rose to 1,700 euros. A sum that Guy Oursel will go and drop off at the AFM in Évreux (Eure). For his part, the first magistrate congratulated the investment of the municipal association.

I admire the work that has been done by the association, all the members mobilized for the occasion and I thank Guy Oursel and his wife who went to get the brioches in Vendée. I am proud of this small town of La Vieille-Lyre which is mobilizing for others and above all to give a better future to people suffering from serious pathologies.

The traditional walking race on March 2

Marc Morière recalled that the first demonstration of the year 2025 will, as always, be placed under the sign of solidarity. This will be the walking race entitled “Sur les pas de Bourvil” and which is set for Sunday March 2. One euro per registration will be donated to the Sarah Clowns association which visits sick children in hospitals.
