Positive results for the Christmas festivities in Uzès

Thing promised, thing due. THE Festival committee and its president Fanny Cabot had announced that they had “gone all out” for the end of year festivities in Uzès from December 14 to 16, 2024, and the results of this operation confirm this commitment.

The Christmas market, first of all, brought together 85 exhibitors for three days, plus around thirty additional stands on Sunday, around the duchy. A novelty that has found its audience. THE children's village, which saw its format enlarged, was a great success. “It was a really great space to welcome the children, with a lovely Santa Claus house, underlines Fanny Cabot. It didn't stop all day with makeup, photos with Santa Claus…”.

As for the famous lettres delivered to the box installed in the courtyard of the town hall, there too the children were there. “Santa's little elf responded to more than 120 letters”, smiles president of the Festival Committee. Letters sent in small envelopes that she personalized herself!

The two shows, from the Forum danse mini-company d’Uzès and “Le monde enchanté” were both sold out. “We even added chairs!”

The Christmas parade brought magic to Uzès

Finally, the Christmas parade was a huge success on Saturday December 14, 2024, “with a crowd from the town hall to the esplanade, rejoices Fanny Cabot, president of the Festival Committee. Maybe even more people than at the votive festival.” And the parade was up to par: dancers, cartoon mascots, tightrope walkers and of course the Santa Claus, arrived by train! THE classic cars illuminated by LEDs closed this magical parade in style.

The party continued until the Place aux Herbes, with a large movement of the public in that direction to discover the Christmas market after the parade.

Satisfaction and projections for the Uzès Festival Committee

Fanny Cabot, who is also deputy mayor of Uzès in charge of the festivities, is therefore delighted with this successful edition. “I’m happy because I got positive feedback and I didn’t get negative feedback.”

But there's no time to rest as she's already thinking about next edition with already the announcement “a novelty that is being put in place”… For now, the Festival Committee is preparing its calendar for the year 2025 which will start at Easter with the Potters marketthen on Sundays in Uzès on the Place aux Herbes before the summer festivities. “Surprises are coming!”
