Mathilde Vischer is a poet, literary translator, researcher and teacher at the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation at the University of Geneva. She has published two books of poems, Edges et Like a star falls in the nightwhich were translated into Italian in 2023. She has also published poetic texts in poetry journals N47, Arpa, Dump, The Fifth SeasonIn The Mail and on the Recourse to Poem and Terre à ciel sites.
She has translated contemporary poets (Felix Philipp Ingold, Fabio Pusterla, Alberto Nessi, Pierre Lepori, Elena Jurissevich, Massimo Gezzi) and published numerous articles and two essays on poetry and translation.
The poems published here are taken from a collection in progress entitled The Body of Fire and for which she received the New Author Grant from the State of Geneva 2024 and the Geneva Society of Writers Prize 2024. CO
