The Friday December 20, 2024in the orchard garden of the Ruffigné school (-Atlantique), the students helped by their teachers and several parents planted fruit trees and a hedge.

This space will constitute a tree-lined annex to the schoolyard. It should also be open to the public outside of school hours according to terms yet to be defined.

This construction site was financed by the 44,000 trees scheme of the Châteaubriant-Derval Community of Communes.

The Saturday December 21, 2024children, parents, hikers, hunters and elected officials participated in a second planting site. On the racecourse site, more than 70 meters of hurdles were planted.

Trees and shrubs were provided as part of the he projects Sensible'haieled by the National Hunters' Federation (FNC) and co-financed by the French Biodiversity Office (OFB).

These plantations come extend existing hedgerows around this natural space with a festive vocation.

Preserve natural spaces.

The municipality has taken up projects initiated by the Châteaubriant Derval Community of Communes, the National Federation of Hunters and the French Biodiversity Office.

For two years, the bocage inventory, the creation of the orchard garden and the definition of new hiking routes have mobilized residents and elected officials. It is a way of promoting the natural heritage of the municipality with the help of its inhabitants. These are also friendly moments which bring together people from different backgrounds. The municipality wishes to extend this momentum sustainably.
