While the weekend was mainly marked by rain and a certain milder temperature on Saturday, the wind should set in on Monday January 6, but for a short time.

Vendée was placed on alert orange “violent wind”.

Gusts of up to 110 km/h!

According to Climat Vendée, these gusts are linked to the passage of the depression named Florianne over England.

This gale will be very brief (around 2 hours) and should occur from 5 a.m. on the Vendée coast, until 8 a.m. for the Bocage.

According to forecasters, these gusts could reach 90 to 100 km/hand even up to 110 km/h occasionallynotably between the island of Yeu and the Sablais coast. The wind will subsequently die down.

“Be careful,soils being saturated with water following rain in recent days, this plays an aggravating role since the vegetation is more sensitive to wind. So be careful when traveling during these hiring hours! », Warn the specialists.
