Lhe Kingdom is represented at this event by a delegation led by the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Younes Shimi, and composed of the inspector general in charge of educational issues at the ministry, Fouad Chafiki, the director of human resources and executive training at the ministry and director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Mohamed Aderdour, and the acting secretary general of the National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, Karim Hamidouche.

Organized in partnership with the Qatari Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, this conference is under the theme “Education for inclusion and Teacher Empowerment: A Strategic Vision for Education in the Arab World.

The main document of the Conference, entitled “Education for inclusion and teacher empowerment: A strategic vision for education in the Arab world”, will be presented in a general discussion with the participation of experts from Arab countries.

In addition, the event will be marked by the presentation of other documents, including the “Technical Report of the ALESCO Higher Steering Committee for Education”, the “Education Development Plan in the Arab World 2026- 2035”, the “Arab Reference Framework for Improving the Teaching of Arts Subjects in General Education” and the “Training Pack Dedicated to Inclusive Education”.

“National experiences in the field of inclusive education and teacher empowerment” will also be discussed, in addition to the presentation of the “Common Arab Framework for Cooperation in Strengthening the Professional Capacity of Teachers, Managers and Supervisors in the field of digital transformation.

The program of this conference also includes a round table which will see the participation of Arab Ministers of Education and Teaching with a view to discussing the theme of “Education in crisis and emergency situations: effective policies to ensure quality and sustainability.

Speaking at the opening of this event, Undersecretary of the Qatari Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, indicated that this conference is a unique platform that offers those responsible for education the opportunity to discuss successful experiences and learn about new developments in education.

Referring to the challenges faced by some Arab countries due to crises and conflicts, Mr. Bin Saleh Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of joint action to ensure quality and inclusive education, specifying that education is a tool that makes it possible to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 4 which aims to “Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.

For his part, Rami Iskandar, director of the Education Department of ALESCO, noted that the theme of the conference is a message with deep meanings illustrating common challenges and aspirations, noting that the choice of this theme confirms its importance and its compatibility with national strategies and plans in this area, as well as the intellectual approach adopted by the Organization to place the education sector at the center of sustainable development efforts.
