Ross Béthio, January 5 (APS) – The sub-prefect of the district of Ndiaye, Ousmane Diédhiou, on Saturday invited the mayor of Ross Béthio to take steps to provide his commune with a market that meets standards.
“We want the mayor to approach partners to provide the town of Ross Béthio with an adequate market that meets standards,” he said during the clean-up day.
The construction of a market meeting security standards will allow the various players to “work in better conditions,” added Ousmane Diédhiou.
He invited local partners and the town hall to “work in perfect synergy with the aim of seeking the necessary means to modernize” the market.
The sub-prefect also alerted the authorities to clandestine electrical connections which constitute a public danger, urging traders to “abandon” its practices.
Ousmane Diédhiou also welcomed the strong mobilization of the population during the 8th edition of the national clean-up day in which the mayor of the commune of Ross Béthio, Fally Seck, and leaders of sports and cultural associations took part.
