On the evening of January 4, three people were treated by emergency services for gunshot wounds in Échirolles, a hotspot for drug trafficking in the Grenoble area.
Around 7:30 p.m., a 29-year-old man with a swollen face took refuge at the Grand Place tram stop and called for help for a gunshot wound to his right hand. His vital prognosis was not in jeopardy.
“The uncooperative victim indicates that a hooded individual riding a scooter used a firearm in his direction while he was in the Harlequin district. The exact location of the events has not been located. said Eric Vaillant, the public prosecutor of Grenoble.
An investigation, carried out by the local judicial police service, was opened for intentional violence with ITT less than 8 days with a weapon.
Around 11:30 p.m., shots fired towards rue Denis Papin left two other victims. A 16-year-old girl, unknown to the law, and a 20-year-old man, known to the police.
“The young girl was walking with a friend when around ten hooded individuals arrived on Rue Galilée, and more than ten shots were fired. The 2 young girls lay down on the ground, but one of them was still hit in the thigh“, details the Prosecutor's Office.
Slightly injured by a bullet fragment, she was treated by the SAMU. “She was not targeted by the shooting she suffered“, adds Eric Vaillant, specifying that a “fifteen cases of two different types of ammunition” had been found at the deal point.
The second victim, aged 20, went to the Cèdres clinic with “a through gunshot wound in the right thigh“, before being transported to Grenoble University Hospital.
“He explains that he was walking in Eybens with a friend, a man named Idriss, that individuals arrived on a scooter, shot him and that he was dropped off at the Cèdres clinic by friends who were passing by in a car.“, indicated the prosecutor.
Not very talkative, the young man would not have wanted to file a complaint. The DCOS (formerly Judicial Police, Editor's note) was investigated for attempted murder.
