Koungheul, Jan 4 (APS) – The prefect of the Koungheul department, in the Kaffrine region (center), Souleymane Ndiaye, invited, on Saturday, the populations to take ownership of the national cleaning days in villages and neighborhoods to contribute to improve their living environment.

“I would just like to invite people to take ownership of these national clean-up days at the village and neighborhood level,” he said in particular during the official launch of the eighth edition of the national clean-up day, of which The organization was entrusted to the Armed Forces.

The local administrative authority was delighted to have participated in this activity marked by a strong involvement of the defense and security forces.

This 8th edition had the theme: ”Setal Sa Gokh, Aar Sa Yaram: alongside citizens, the armed forces are committed”.

Several sites, including the front of the Koungheul fire station and the surroundings of the municipal stadium, were cleaned and reforested.

The strong presence of defense and security forces, territorial and health authorities, the National Integrated Waste Management Company (SONAGED), elements of the departmental living environment service, MP El Hadji Guèye, among others, been noted.
