Kolda, Jan 4 (APS) – The 8th edition of National Cleaning Day was chaired, Saturday, in Kolda (south), by the Minister of Health and Social Action, Dr Ibrahima Sy, who welcomed the perfect symbiosis between the Armed Forces and medical personnel.
»I came to Kolda to chair the first edition of this year 2025 of the setal sunu rew day; and it is for me an honor to come and celebrate this day placed under the aegis of the Armed Forces with the theme +Sétal sa gokh, aar sa yarame alongside the citizens the armed forces are committed+,” said the minister who had alongside him his Tourism counterpart, Mountaga Diao.
Dr Ibrahima Sy highlighted the work of health actors and the Defense and Security Forces in organizing free medical consultations across eight sites in military zone No. 6, which brings together the regions of Kolda and Sédhiou.
On different Kolda sites, more than 400 people benefited from free medical consultations and more than 60 bags of blood were collected.
On Saturday, the Kolda bus station was the rallying point for cleaning actions.
