Good news for young graduates from Professional Training Centers in Agriculture. In a circular dated January 3, 2025, the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock, Mabouba Diagne, gave clear instructions to general management and companies under his supervision to implement a policy of dynamic and sustainable integration in their favor.
In the document, the Minister of Agriculture noted that “as part of the internships and recruitments undertaken by certain Directorates, General Directorates and Companies under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock, the young graduates from Vocational Training Centers in Agriculture are often left stranded.”
According to him, “this creates situations of discontent, frustration and demotivation among young people who participate in the agricultural professions”.
For Mabouba Diagne, “such a situation does not militate in favor of achieving the department’s objectives in terms of youth integration training”.
This is why he instructed those in charge to “contact the Office of Agricultural Vocational Training for internships and recruitment with a view to establishing a dynamic and sustainable integration policy within the ministry”.
