Mbour, Jan 4 (APS) – The Minister of the Environment and Ecological Transition invited, on Saturday in Mbour (west), the populations to continue cleaning and decluttering actions on public roads.
“I call on the Senegalese to continue these actions of cleaning, decluttering the public roads in the markets, in our neighborhoods etc., to make our country clean,” said Daouda Ngom.
He chaired the launch of the eighth edition of the “Setal Sunu Rew” Cleanup Day at the Mbour central market.
»It is a symbolic place because the markets bring together a lot of people and often, they are [endroits] where there are many problems linked to unsanitary conditions and congestion on public roads,” he noted.
Daouda Ngom took the opportunity to call for compliance with electrical installation standards in the markets, stressing that failure to apply safety rules in this area is often a source of fire.
