Returning from loan to OL in January, Adryelson does not plan to stay forever in the capital of Gaul. The 26-year-old Brazilian defender is negotiating his arrival at Trabzonspor in Türkiye.
Like Lucas Perri, Brazilian defender Adryelson arrived at Olympique Lyonnais from Botafogo last January. OL paid the recent Copa Libertadores winner almost 4 million euros to bring in the 26-year-old defender. But unlike the former Botafogo goalkeeper, Adryelson never really had his chance in Lyon. Pierre Sage rarely called on him and the Rhone club therefore made the decision to loan him last September… to Botafogo.
A dry six-month loan which allowed Adryelson to find pleasure and playing time in his native country. But this January, the defender born in Barão de Grajaú is back in France. However, it should not linger in our country since according to information from Foot Marketnegotiations are progressing in the right direction between OL and the Turkish club Trabzonspor for the loan with option to buy Adryelson.
Adryelson at Trabzonspor, everything is accelerating
The media revealed this Saturday that all parties concerned are actively discussing with the aim of quickly finding a solution. The hope is for OL to offload the player and his salary by the end of January. Adryelson is in favor of leaving Lyon, where he knows that he will go after Niakhaté, Mata or Caleta-Car in the hierarchy of central defenders. It now remains to be seen how much the Turkish club is willing to offer regarding the amount of the purchase option. It's a safe bet that John Textor will not be too greedy even if the American owner undoubtedly hopes to cover his costs by recovering between 3 and 4 million euros in the event of the permanent departure of his 26-year-old defender from the end of the season.
