Tambacounda, January 4 (APS) – The governor of the Tambacounda region (south), Guedj Diouf, welcomed the development of a landscaped area in the Liberté district, during the launch of the 8e edition of the ”Sétal Sunu Reew” cleaning day.
»Here we launched the seventh edition +Sétal Sunu Réew+, during which the district delegate and the residents promised us to make this square a landscaped space to welcome people who wish to relax. On arrival, we found that they kept their commitment,” he declared, pledging to support them to “make the place cleaner”.
The governor who chaired the launch of this 8th edition under the theme “Setal sa gox, Aar Sa Yaram: alongside the citizens, the armed forces are committed”, participated in the raising of the colors at the Mame Cheikh Mbaye high school .
Guedj Diouf took the opportunity to invite the youth of eastern Senegal to draw inspiration from the values of the armed forces, the architects of this day of human investment.
”We followed the raising of the colors this morning to raise awareness among students and staff about civics and citizenship. We also followed demonstrations on first aid. All these citizen and civic acts show the commitment of the defense and security forces, their determination and the discipline it takes to develop a country,” he said.
”These values and this commitment must inspire us all and especially inspire young people. We therefore invite them to appropriate the values embodied by the defense and security forces, because it is a model to copy and perpetuate,” called on the governor.
