With Benjamin D'Amico Duffo, a communications expert with experience in the cosmetics industry, she has just created Donamico, a cosmetics laboratory based in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (Manche). Create your laboratory to produce quality
For their products, there is no question of subcontracting production to a laboratory or opting for a white label. “We wanted to have total control over what we do, over the ingredients and processes,” explains Benjamin D’Amico Duffo. Hence the ambitious choice to create their own laboratory. “In industry, many products contain up to 60% water. We want to offer highly dosed, 100% active and natural products,” underlines Valérie Donnet. This model, with just-in-time manufacturing, guarantees the freshness of the products and the absence of waste.

A sustainable and ethical commitment
Furthermore, most of the raw materials, such as tamanu or monoi, come directly from Polynesia, and support the local economy. “It’s a balance. Of course, our raw materials come from far away, but they help support families and villages. And it remains France, it is important for us. » The couple also makes a point of integrating CSR (corporate social responsibility) approaches into their processes.
