Charlie Dalin and Yoann Richomme are no longer far from the end of the hell of the many calms they went through throughout the journey up the South Atlantic. They arrive in the trade winds of around twelve knots. This will become more and more favorable. They will be able to accelerate.

Sébastien Simon is sailing upwind in this trade wind which, for him, is still oriented north-north-east.

Thomas Ruyant and Paul Meilhat are in unstable westerly winds behind a front. Paul goes quickly and catches up with Thomas who is missing a headsail. Meanwhile, the pursuing group suffered from the lack of wind near the center of the depression.

Charlie Dalin and Yoann Richomme are going fast in the easterly trade wind at 15/20 knots, straight across to their route.

Sébastien Simon will be able to take advantage of the rotation of his wind to the right, towards the north-east, to turn and head north.

Thomas Rettant is moving at 12 knots towards the north-east in a wind that is still unstable and often too weak, behind the front which has passed him.

Paul Meilhat chose the option of a coastal route to take advantage of more variable conditions with the possibility of temporarily downwind winds.

It must go quickly for Charlie Dalin and Yoann Richomme who are taking advantage of a nice trade wind. They are preparing to cross the Doldrums which is not wide on their route ahead. Sébastien Simon is upwind on starboard tack. Its 15-knot northeast trade wind will gradually turn to the east-southeast. Sébastien will finally be able to accelerate. Thomas Ruyant is still clinging to his disturbance. Behind the front the wind is not well established, but its average westerly direction should allow progress on a good course. Paul Meilhat is probably on a more coastal route where he will have benefited from stronger winds. Both are still far from the trade winds.
