One sentence resulted in the Senegalese minister responsible for administration and equipment at the presidency being fired on December 31. “The skirmishers are traitors. This outing immediately provoked heated controversy in the country, including among supporters of the president, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, who publicly split for the first time since coming to power in March.
