Thursday January 2, a shooting in Montpellier left one dead and one injured near a deal point, possibly linked to a settling of scores. One of the victims was known to the police, and the perpetrators are on the run and actively sought.
Thursday January 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the Mosson district of Montpellier, a shooting broke out in a parking lot. Two men aged 24 and 33 were targeted. The oldest died, the youngest was hit in the ankle but his life is not in danger. It could be a settling of scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking, the victims having been attacked near a highly coveted deal point.
According to the first elements of the investigation, one of the two victims was known unfavorably to the police. The perpetrator(s) of the shooting managed to flee and are actively being sought. A shooting which comes only a few hours after Gérald Darmanin's trip to Marseille, where he reaffirmed his desire to get tougher on drug traffickers.
