The weekend of January 3 to 5 is also given green in the rest of the territory.

As the end-of-year holidays come to an end, many vacationers are preparing to return home. But, if we often fear endless traffic jams when returning from the Christmas holidays, Bison Futé is optimistic this year. “This last weekend of the end-of-year holidays should not experience any major traffic difficulties”thus provides for government service.

The only complications would concern Friday January 3, which could give rise to congestion in Île-de- in the direction of returns. The Île-de-France region is thus announced on Friday by Bison Futé, due to heavy traffic on the A6 and A10 motorways in the middle of the afternoon. Returns from vacation are added to the numerous work-home journeys in the region, which would create “more or less significant traffic difficulties depending on the sector between mid-afternoon and early evening.” In the return direction, it is therefore recommended to cross or reach Île-de-France before 2 p.m.

The rest of the territory is announced as green from Friday January 3 to Sunday January 5, both for the outward and return directions. It is therefore a peaceful return that awaits vacationers. The government service, however, invites motorists “to be vigilant in view of the difficulties that may be encountered on the roads in winter, particularly during snowy and icy episodes.” It is therefore recommended to drive carefully and find out about changing weather and traffic conditions before leaving. Good reflexes for driving in winter can be consulted on the Bison Futé website.
