The original Renault Twingo, that of 1993, remains a source of inspiration for designers. Latest example to date, this creation signed by digital artist The Mean Machine
Digital artist The Mean Machine has revisited the original Renault Twingo in computer-generated images in a muscular version. Called Twingo F1, this realization of pixels which fortunately for some, unfortunately for others will remain forever virtual is characterized by hypertrophied wings at the front and even more at the rear, a difference clearly visible in the top view. Conversely, the mirrors are refined in the manner of the profiled ones used in Formula 1.
The bow, modernized with sober and subtle LED lighting, retains the curves that made the model so successful and earned it its frog nickname. However, the shield descends as close as possible to the asphalt. And even if the suspension is copiously lowered, a pair of rocker panels homogenize the profile. This Renault Twingo F1 is fitted with sail rims in the spirit of those fitted to the first version of the Renault 5 Turbo 3Ethe one that was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2022.
A version with war paint
The artist even imagined an even more radical version sporting an impressive spoiler above the trunk. A variant which brought out the war paint as the sponsors of the great era during which the diamond firm shone in formula one. And unlike the Renault Twingo E-Tech which will expand the range in 2026 by positioning itself below the R5, there is no question of going electric for this Twingo F1!
No, its credo is rather a powerful thermal engine housed in a central position in line with the Espace F1, the Clio V6 and of course the Renault 5 Turbo which got the ball rolling in 1980.
