Trees lying on the roads around Colombey

The wind blew a lot in Colombey this Monday, January 6, causing at least five significant tree falls. As soon as they left the Juzennecourt operations center at the start of the afternoon, the Department's technical services agents, responsible for road maintenance, were caught in a traffic jam caused by a falling tree on the D619 which leads to Colombey-les-Deux-Eglises. After having done what was necessary to clear the road, they intervened on the D23 which leads to Rennepont, at the Dhuits forest, for another tree fall, then on the D15 which leads to Longchamp-sur-Aujon, before being called for other tree falls around Colombey and Lamothe-en-Blaisy: a large fir tree across the D133 road which connects Lachapelle to Lamothe, forcing drivers to turn around, and a smaller tree blocking the D235 road which leads to Colombey, leaving drivers who had made the detour no other choice but to wait until the road was clear, which been fast. Traffic was restored around 2:30 p.m.

  • At 2:30 p.m. the road was clear.
  • The road to Colombey was also blocked following a falling tree.
  • A large fir tree fell between Lamothe and Lachapelle-en-Blaisy this Monday early in the afternoon.
  • The drivers had to turn around before being blocked again on the Colombey road.
