A 29-year-old man was tried in immediate appearance by the Périgueux criminal court for acts of violence against his partner and the police, Sunday December 29, in Trélissac. He was sentenced to ten months in prison.
Around 1 p.m., Sunday December 29, a 29-year-old man was in front of the home of his former partner, in Trélissac. The couple have been separated for a fortnight and he comes to collect his things, but she does not want to open the door to him.
He then contacted the police “so as not to scare him”, and for them to help him recover his belongings. It was then that the police left the young woman's apartment and took the elevator to go down, and the defendant took the opportunity to enter his ex-friend's house. Violence ensues with his former partner, whom he does not recognize, before the police intervene. The latter are also victims of violence, including punches. Two police officers were taken to the ground, filmed by the officers' body cameras.
Tried in immediate appearance on Thursday January 2, the defendant indicated that “at no time was I threatening with her”. But he would have liked “the situation with the police and my partner to turn out differently”.
A simple reprieve
“Do you think it's a normal situation that six officials have to intervene to control you?” asked the public prosecutor, Anaëlle Jaccard.
He was sentenced to ten months in prison, fully suspended.
