Despite competition from other destinations, Guadeloupe remains very popular with tourists in search of nature and discovery. A brief overview of the most visited tourist sites in the archipelago.
Before discovering it, you must first listen… At the end of the small path, the crayfish waterfall, in Petit-Bourg, stands proudly. It's not even 10 a.m. but the place is already packed. Come on, a little jump in the pool… Invigorating !
With the heat of Guadeloupe, it's great. I've been coming for a long time and I'm a fan! I love it, it's really magnificent.
Benjamin, French tourist
We were advised to do so on the plane by a lady who was returning home and who told us, we absolutely must see the crayfish waterfall, so we came. I would have preferred a slightly wider shot but it's magnificent. The vegetation is lush, it's really superb.
Pascale, French tourist
Superb, it's refreshing, first time in Guadeloupe and not the last.
Maureen, Canadian tourist
Easy to access, with parking at the entrance, the Crayfish Waterfall is one of the most popular sites in the archipelago.
On the first step of the podium of tourist hotspots in Guadeloupe, we find Soufrière, the Cascade aux crayfishes as well as the bay of Terre-de-Haut, in Les Saintes, complete the ranking.
But there is also the Parc des Mamelles, in Bouillante. And some days, there are big crowds with no less than 500 visitors.
It's very interesting, the children enjoyed it so it was great. We had a little rain too, it cooled us down, it was cool. It's magnificent, it's very, very beautiful.
Each year, the zoo welcomes nearly 100,000 visitors with a clientele that diversifies over time.
What's getting better and better is that we have more and more Guadeloupeans at the Zoo. We also have a lot of people from Martinique so it’s perfect.
Aïssata Doumbia, director of the Guadeloupe Zoo
