It will be scheduled in the second part of the evening, at 10:45 p.m., after another feature film, The time of secrets by Christophe Barratier. Viewers will meet Jeanne Chardon-Spitzer, a brilliant architect played by Alice Pol, the star of Supercondriaque (2014) et Crazy raid (2017). She is hired by the wealthy Daguerre family to renovate their sumptuous mansion. However, nothing goes as planned when she goes there. The young woman is unwillingly drawn into a life-size investigation game when César (Eddy Mitchell), the patriarch at the head of a board game empire, is found murdered in the middle of a murder party.
When viewing this whodunit, we realize that this sublime property is a character in its own right, because it represents the game board on which the game of Cluedo takes place in real size. Does this place really exist or was it created from scratch for the occasion? Murder Party was filmed at the Château de Regnière-Ecluse, located in maritime Picardy, in the Somme department. Built in 1030, it adopts the Gothic revival style.

“I found a real mansion beyond my expectations: I had seen many in photos, but none had that playful and backdated side that I was looking forconfided the director on this subject in the press kit for the film. When I came across this mansion, it was exactly what I wanted: a composite but strangely coherent mixture of several eras, baroque and classical at the same time, French but imbued with other origins as well. […] We rearranged the spaces, but everything was there: the exterior, the hall, the cellar. Only the rooms and the control room were built in the studio.“Released in theaters on March 9, 2022, the feature film failed to find its audience, attracting only 72,584 curious people at the end of its run.
