It is a ritual that is surprising to say the least and which is beginning to take root in time. Proof of this is that, on January 1, it was already the 7th edition. To celebrate the transition to the new year, the Mont d'Or Ski Club has made a habit of organizing a ski descent in swimsuits. This Wednesday, there were 15 “frosted” people to honor this tradition. The meeting was then given at 12 p.m. at the front of the track for a cool bath. “It makes everyone happy. On January 1, it has a little invigorating and nice side that allows you to keep a positive mind,” assures Vanessa Jeannin, president of the Mont d’Or Ski Club.

Very popular, this somewhat unusual activity brings together tourists, residents and of course members of the association. While the basic outfit was a swimsuit, some now come in disguise. “The idea is to have a good time together, to take a chairlift ride and then go back down the bank from the top to the bottom with a little mulled wine on arrival,” emphasizes Vanessa Jeannin. After a moment which once again proved very convivial, the appointment has already been made for next year.
