On the night of December 31 to January 1, 30 gendarmes from the Compagnie d'Albi carried out surveillance and road control operations, between 7 p.m. and 4 a.m., mainly in the municipalities of Marssac-sur-Tarn, Cagnac-les-Mines and Le Garric.
This is the satisfaction of the start of the year for the soldiers of the Albi Gendarmerie Company. While the accident-prone context at the end of 2024 was notable, no traffic accidents were observed on New Year's Eve in their district. It must be said that the men of squadron leader Mathieu Viala were present on the roadsides, mainly in Marssac-sur-Tarn, Cagnac-les-Mines and Le Garric, to carry out surveillance and road control operations. In total, 200 vehicles were checked by members of the Compagnie d'Albi for only ten violations noted, including two for driving under the influence of alcohol. A “lower crowd and responsible behavior” were noticed by the gendarmes who achieved their objective.
