Philippe de Verduron predicted to us “great upheavals” and did not hide his pessimism for 2024. When we interviewed the medium last year, we were coming out of a year marked by drought. Climate forecasts were therefore one of our concerns. Philippe de Verduron then wanted to be reassuring: “I see a lot of water this year, but no flooding. And there should be no drought.“On the drought front, the predictions were good. As was his vision of lots of water. 2024 stands as one of the wettest years of the century. But these predictions underestimated the effect of these precipitations which led to particularly destructive floods in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, they did not spare Alsace (see our article).
On the international level, Philippe de Verduron predicted a stagnation of the situation in the Middle East or the conflict in Ukraine. “There will be no major end-of-war treaty, situations will get bogged down.” This time, he was not mistaken. Except regarding the American elections. “Donald Trump will not return to the White House”. Ultimately yes.
An essential subsidiary question when questioning a medium, because her vision is easily verifiable: we asked her last year if Miss France 2024 would be an Alsatian. “The next Miss France will be brunette with light eyes. She will come from the PACA region. She works in the health field and has a compound first name.” The lucky lady is dark-haired and has short hair. It is not his first name, but his last name that is composed. And Angélique Angarni-Filopon does come from the south, but from a south much closer to the equator than the PACA region, since she comes from Martinique.
