Faced with financial and political challenges, Sébastien Vincini, president of the Departmental Council, reaffirms his determination to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Haute-Garonne.
“2024 will have been particularly painful and anxiety-provoking. It is a reality shared by all of us,” begins by reminding the inhabitants of Haute-Garonne of his wishes, Sébastien Vincini, the socialist president of the departmental council. In a video posted on social networks, he recalls the difficulties encountered “on a daily basis for many of you”, to which was added “a major political crisis caused by a hazardous dissolution of the National Assembly”.
At the beginning of November, faced with spending reduction objectives in 2025, he announced that he would not be able to replace or extend 400 to 500 positions this year. This led to the mobilization of community agents. “However, it is not my temperament to give up in the face of adversity, nor even to resign myself to fate. I remain optimistic and confident, I know that we will get there. At the departmental council, in the face of difficulties financial which are real, I have chosen responsibility to make the community that I preside over more economical and our public services more efficient. I have confidence in the agents of the Departmental Council to achieve this”, he indicates. .
“Our only objective is to improve your daily life and preserve the quality of life in Haut-Garonnaise,” assures Sébastien Vincini, recalling the role of support of the Departmental Council for people with disabilities, the elderly or even their missions for colleges, municipalities or firefighters. “In 2025, I want, in a few words, to continue our essential missions of human and territorial solidarity,” concludes the elected official.
