Two burglaries in the same street in Varennes-Vauzelles
Two apartments on rue Henri-Choquet, in Varennes-Vauzelles, were the subject of burglaries on Sunday, December 29, late in the afternoon. The procedure was identical: the thug(s) climbed over the balcony and entered the accommodations, both located on the first floor of buildings, by breaking into the living room windows. The inventory of damages is in progress.
Vegetation fire in a Nevers garden
A resident of rue de Barcelona, in Nevers, set fire to a pile of wood that he was clumsily cutting up, Monday, December 30 in the middle of the afternoon. He had filled his chainsaw with fuel, spilling some of it onto the woodpile. When the machine was restarted, the fire started, fueled by the spilled gasoline. The Neversois called on the firefighters to bring the disaster under control.
Burned car in Nevers
A police patrol intervened on Tuesday December 31 shortly before daybreak on a dirt road extending from the Quai de Médine to Nevers. A car wreck was still smoking when they arrived. A priori unidentifiable, because completely ravaged by the fire, the vehicle could be BMW brand, according to a wheel cover retaining the imprint of the Germanic commercial logo.
Cable theft in Toury-Lurcy
Individuals stole electrical cable supplying a farm, in the town of Toury-Lurcy, during the night of Sunday December 29 to Monday December 30. The theft is not trivial: 5 to 600 meters of electrical cable were stolen to the detriment of Enedis… An end-of-year “gift” which the farmer would have done well without.
