A house, rue Latraine in Monségur (Gironde), found itself on fire last night on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. The fire broke out at 1:40 a.m. in an 80m house.2 with one floor.
Three people evacuated to Sainte-Foy-la-Grande hospital
In total, eleven people were evacuated by firefighters who quickly intervened on site. Three of them were transported to Sainte-Foy-la-Grande hospital as a precaution. The other eight people spent the night in the community hall.
The house was completely ablaze when the firefighters arrived. The intervention required the use of three hoses to prevent the fire from spreading towards the adjoining houses.
Electric power should be restored around 12 p.m.
The national gendarmerie also intervened on site to secure the scene.
In order to avoid any electrical risk, the power was cut for residents of rue des Frères Barbe, Latraine and adjacent streets.
Recovery, initially scheduled for 7:30 a.m., is now expected for 12 p.m. according to Enedis.
