Due to an increasingly constrained budgetary situation, the Haute-Garonne department has initiated a process of in-depth control of its expenses. This does not mean, however, a cessation of support for the many actors and projects in the region.
During the last standing commission of the Haute-Garonne departmental council, subsidies were voted to help multiple projects for the canton of Pechbonnieu, on the proposal of departmental councilors Sabine Geil-Gomez and Émile Étoile (replacing Didier Cujives who 'is withdrawn later this year). In order to guarantee balanced and harmonious development of the territory, support for municipalities in the implementation of their projects has been reaffirmed.
Thus for Montberon, a total of €45,784 in subsidies was granted in 2024 as part of the 2024 territory contract. An amount of €11,085 is allocated to LED “relamping” work at the Michel Colucci school group.
An amount of €6,000 was allocated to the renovation of the Al Vigne children's play area (works under management) as well as €28,700 allocated to the installation of public toilets in the grounds of Maison M.
These amounts represent a significant contribution from the departmental council in all of this work, the balance is financed by the municipal budget.
All elected officials hope, for 2025, despite the uncertainties surrounding finances, that the departmental council will be able to largely participate in municipal projects.
