What are these malicious calls received by many residents of Gard?

In recent days, many residents of Sommières (Gard) and Bezouce (Gard) received malicious phone calls pretending to concern the quality of drinking water in these two municipalities.

The prefecture has been alerted. State services immediately reacted on Thursday December 26 and were keen to reassure the population.

“Communities and operators in charge of water networks are not the origin of these calls”, we explain from the Prefecture of Gard. Residents are therefore invited to continue using tap water on a daily basis.

In the coming days, residents of Gard who are victims of these malicious calls are asked to file a complaint as soon as possible, directly online on the official website of the Ministry of the Interior.
