According to this resident of Pas-de-Calais, workers commissioned by her owner came to remove the doors and windows from her house six days ago and did not replace them. The owner has since been unreachable. The mother, who lives with her daughter, filed a complaint for breach of trust.
Sandrine Lemaire and her daughter now say they live in unbearable conditions. A week earlier, workers commissioned by its owner came to remove the doors and windows of their house in Montigny-en-Gohelle (Pas-de-Calais) for supposed insulation work. But they left without installing new ones, the mother told TF1 Info on Friday December 27. For six days now, the family has been living with a makeshift solution, with boxes arranged to try to prevent the cold from entering the home. “It’s still December,” emphasizes Sandrine Lemaire.
The owner no longer responds. She suggests that he did this to try to dislodge them. “The owner had already warned me: I have to leave, I have to rehouse someone in my family.” Contacted by TF1, it did not respond.
Sandrine Lemaire, for her part, appealed to the town hall of her commune as well as to the prefecture. She has also filed a complaint for breach of trust and is looking for social housing.
