A 21-year-old young man, victim of a violent carjacking on Sunday morning in the Rue de Bari district, in Montpellier, succumbed to his injuries this Thursday at the Montpellier University Hospital. Hit by his own vehicle, driven by one of the attackers, the victim never regained consciousness.
An extremely violent theft
According to the first elements of the investigation, two individuals used the technique of carjacking to seize the vehicle. During their escape, one of the attackers violently hit the victim before running over him.
The attackers still wanted
The two suspects are currently on the run and cannot be found with the stolen vehicle. The national police, in charge of the investigation, have intensified their research to identify and arrest the perpetrators of this criminal act.
A possible call for witnesses?
Authorities may soon seek the public's help in gathering information useful in arresting the suspects. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the stolen vehicle is invited to contact the police.
