In Dijon, a few hours before Christmas Eve, impressive queues stretch in front of brands such as Pierre Hubert rue des Godrans, Remi rue Auguste Comte, Hazelnut Butter or Fabrice Gillotte rue du Bourg, Basket maker et Pralus rue de la Liberté, where the people of Dijon wait patiently to collect logs and other dishes for New Year's Eve.
“It’s always worth it”
Some customers, although accustomed, note the extent unusual of the crowd this December 24: “I come every year to look for chocolates at Fabrice Gillotte to offer them. But there it is exceptional : we feel that everyone is rushing to the local products for the holidays,” notes Michelle, 54 years old. “I passed rue des Godrans, it’s the same! »
Rue des Godrans precisely, where the line stretches on several tens of meters : “I ordered my pastries at Pierre Hubert. Yes, the wait is longwe see that the employees are running everywhere, but it's always worth it. We don't eat pastries of this quality every day” puts Sophie, 42, a loyal customer of the brand into perspective.
“We know why we are here”
At Rémi, the new rising star on rue Auguste Comte, gourmets came precipitated in the morning to taste the young chef's original creations. “I'm coming to get my logs for this evening. It's accessible, it's delicious and I think it's going to be a nice surprise at the table” confides Éric, 37 years old.
If product quality remains the main reason for this crazecustomers are divided on the overall experience. “It’s true that we talk to each other in line, which we all know why we are here and that everyone is disciplined. But when you've made a reservation and wait as long as those who haven't planned anything, it's frustrating » adds Aline, 34 years old.
