Captain and author of the victorious shot on goal to give VAFC victory against Thionville (2-2, 4-5 tab), Rémy Boissier was won over by this premiere which obviously could be improved under Vincent Hognonfreshly named.
The VAFC on the right tone
“It was a good first match under the new coach. We applied the instructions worked throughout the week. It's a Coupe de France match, there are twists and turns. I think we need to be more in control of the two goals we conceded. On the first, it's a stopped phase where we can do better. On the second, it's an opportunity that follows a huge opportunity that we have to score the third, it's a bit annoying. The big positive point is that we managed to get our heads together to win on penalties. »
Rémy Boissier offers the 16th to VA
“My winning shot on goal? It's a personal satisfaction. Helping the team win is always rewarding. It's the work of the whole team, there have been shooters before. But I am very satisfied with it. The Le Mans draw? I think there is a curse in Valenciennes, there are all the cup rounds outside (laughing). Last season, VA had almost everything played away (except Paris FC). We are especially disappointed not to play at home, but we will have to win there if we want to go far in the Coupe de France. »
