Since its return to school in September, the associative café Au Terminus des Prétentieux has never been empty. Stéphane Vaissière, president of the Cercle des Bistrotiers Humanistes (an association which has managed this third place since its creation in 2018), is delighted… as are the regulars of the place.
As the holidays approach, it is clear that the Terminus is now known and recognized in Colomiers for its friendly and festive events and evenings.
“Our basic principle is simple: the place opens if at least one volunteer is regularly available to run it!” announces Stéphane. To date, several have become involved, hence a good number of recurring activities, which we enjoy and which we have continued: Spanish and Italian language workshops, card and dice games, board and “atmosphere”, follow one another on Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Our monthly “Terminus Thursday” evenings are full, Karaoke is also very popular, and the “Solidarity Couture” workshops run well, 2 months a month, on Saturdays.
In addition, we welcome other associations upon request, which wish to make themselves known or come to occasionally enliven the place.”
Thus, the Secular Circle recently piloted a “Games” morning and will return regularly to continue “secular meetings”, informative and fun. Likewise, Sunday January 12, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., the Repair Café (“Repair instead of throwing away!”) will be set up at the Terminus.
In another register, Marc Fauroux (Cie Paradis Eprouvette), has just hosted his last monthly aperitif-reading for 2024: “The configuration of the place facilitates exchanges: around thirty people appreciated Marc’s readings and advice, and discovered Marianne Lamor’s writing workshop. This literary and musical moment was very appreciated” summarizes Stéphane.

There are still places left for the final “Karaoke” evening of 2024, tomorrow Friday, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., with “drinks & grill” formula (€10, by reservation at 06 81 69 47 47 or 06 88 37 07 33 ).
Finally, note, for January 2025, the brand new “Ciné-Club (Tuesday 14th), and the “80s” concert evening (Thursday 23rd).
