Blaise Diagne International Airport in Diass (Aibd Sa) at the school of the National Fire Brigade (Bnsp). The two parties signed a partnership agreement yesterday Monday, expressing a desire to pool their efforts. The signing of this memorandum of understanding, through the Commander-in-Chief of the firefighters and the Director General of Blaise Diagne International Airport in Diass, falls within the framework of security, security and airport security in Senegal.

Cheikh Mamadou Abiboulaye Dieye, the Director General of the Blaise Diagne International Airport (Aibd Sa) of Diass, and Brigadier General Mamadou Ndoye, Commander of the National Fire Brigade (Bnsp) signed, yesterday Monday, a protocol agreement relating to the security of Senegal’s airports. The agreement is part of a dynamic of cooperation for the security of Senegal’s airports, in compliance with the norms and standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The approach aims to ensure, according to the CEO of the Aibd, the security, safety and security of Senegal’s airports. Thus, he mentioned the proven qualification and professionalism of the men of the Bnsp through the speed of their intervention. The main axes of the protocol are based on mutual assistance at the operational level, the interoperability of means of transmission, communication and IT, the joint organization of exercises, the strengthening of human resources. They also extend to logistical support and partnership in other areas of common interest.

According to information collected: “The signing follows the visit made by the CEO of Aibd Sa to the Bnsp, in July 2024”. This meeting allowed him to magnify the rise in power of the Bnsp, having modern equipment and expertise to support the ambition of the President of the Republic to make Senegal an air hub.

Indeed, the signed memorandum of understanding is the concretization of exchanges between the Command of the Bnsp and the General Directorate of the Aibd Sa because the two organizations had agreed to continue the collaboration for better management of airport security in Senegal.
