How can we convince Parliament of the need for a new package of agreements with the European Union? Even before the announcement of the end of negotiations with Brussels, scheduled for this Friday, the Federal Council would have decided during its last meeting to deconstruct this package to submit the result to parliamentarians, initially, then to the test of referendum in a second phase, according to information from the German-speaking press. The objective would be to avoid a collapse of all the agreements in the face of a coalition of sectoral oppositions which would end up taking away the entire project. The agreement on electricity, in particular, arouses strong reluctance from the Alpine cantons and the unions.
