The champions are doing well. Winners of the previous edition of the Top 12 last May, the gymnasts of Meaux kept their good habits. They, in fact, won on Saturday December 14 in Brumath (26-22) at the end of an indecisive duel.
Deprived of their two leaders Marine Boyer and Coline Devillard, the daughters of Patrick Andréani showedself-sacrifice to overcome a solid Alsatian team transcended by the support of its public.
A Meaux-Combs-la-Ville derby in the next match
After dominating the Combs-la-Ville club (30-18) on November 30, the gymnasts from Bas-Rhin dreamed of bringing down another representative from Seine-et-Marne. The Meldoises, however, enforced the hierarchy, but they had to work hard to impose themselves thanks in particular to their nugget Astria Nelo.
At the end of the first two apparatus (vault and uneven bars), the two teams were still tied (12-12). Meaux, however, dominated the balance beam and floor with brilliant passages from Lucie Henna and Irène Lanza to finally secure the victory (26-22).
See you now on February 22 at home for the derby seine-et-marnais against Combs-la-Ville. A new victory and Meaux will qualify for the semi-finals of the competition scheduled for March 15.
