Nanteuil-lès-Meaux has received the “Animal Friendly City” label. The award was presented by the Ile-de-France Region on Tuesday November 19.
The City has received the “Animal Friendly City” label, awarded by the Île-de-France Region. The distinction rewards municipalities committed to animal welfare through concrete and sustainable initiatives.
The mayor, Régis Sarazin, comments: “The recognition reflects Nanteuil’s constant commitment to making the city a place that respects living things and is attentive to the needs of animals. The label highlights the actions carried out to raise public awareness of the animal cause, develop suitable equipment, support local associations and promote animal mediation initiatives. These are all efforts aimed at strengthening harmonious cohabitation between residents and their four-legged companions. »
This year, the “Animal Friendly City” label was awarded to 55 Ile-de-France municipalities, including 21 new ones during an evening with the godmother of the event which took place for the third time, Sophie Davant, of the president of the Region Île-de-France, Valérie Pécresse and Sophie Deschiens, special delegate to the Circular Region and animal friend. The event was hosted by Sandrine Arcizet, presenter of the TV show “Les animals de la 8”.
