Before the break for the end-of-year holidays, the Puylaurens volleyball teams distinguished themselves last weekend. Seven children took part in the technical field in and eight in the M11 tournament in Cambon. The U15 boys from the Puylaurens/Labruguière alliance won in three sets to zero. Still in Carcassonne, the women’s regional 2 achieved great success, three sets to two. Struggling to get into the match, the players found themselves trailing two sets to zero, before recovering by committing fewer mistakes. They won the third set, with a score of 26 to 24, which had the effect of giving them confidence and winning easily in the last two sets. This victory allows this young team to gain confidence. New defeat for the boys pre-national who did not manage to overthrow the leader Fonsorbes in his room. The Regional 1 boys imitated them by losing sharply in , three sets to zero. Great performance from the U13 and U21 women who traveled far from their bases for the third round of the French Cup. At Haillan, the U13 girls won in a landslide against the local team, two sets to zero, with a score of 27 to 25 and 29 to 27. They then lost against Mesplède, two sets to zero. Three teams finish with the same number of points but qualify with a better set-average. In , after having undergone the Lattes law, the women’s U21s won against Montpellier d’Argent and also qualified in second position. The club would like to congratulate these two groups and their management who will compete in the fourth round, on Sunday January 19. Departmental and regional competitions are on break and will resume on January 11.
