For the residents of Longperrier, the return via the voting booth and ballot box was planned for Sunday December 8. It was indeed necessary completely reconstitute a municipal council in which there was too much shortage of elected officials. After the resignation of the first deputy, Patrick Snakowski, another deputy and six councilors, the account to form a municipal council was no longer there, and the prefecture decided to organize new elections.
The voters of the commune were therefore expected this Sunday, December 8 with the aim of electing 23 municipal councilors and one community councilor.
Two lists
Two lists were therefore formed to establish the new municipal council, which will only work for a year and a half. The first list, named “ Living Well Together” (LBVE), is taken by Florence Rongione, who had already presented himself during the previous elections in 2020. Within his list, we find in particular Michel Mouton, the outgoing mayor of Longperrier, who therefore joins the opposition.
The second list, “ Priority to the essential », is led by the former first deputy of the municipality Patrick Snakowskiresident of Longperrier for 38 years. The latter, who left his position as first deputy following numerous disagreements with the mayor, is running as head of the list for these full by-elections.
33.9% participation
And, this Sunday, the inhabitants of Longperrier did not come out en masse to vote. It must be said that the gray and rainy weather did not help. Out of 1,646 registered, only 568 people traveled representing a participation rate of 33.9%.
Of the 544 votes counted, 319 bore the name of Florence Rongione against 225 for Patrick Snakowski. And with 58.63% of the votes, “Living well together” therefore obtains absolute majority. There will therefore be no need for a second round.
“The Le Bien Vivre Ensemble list would like to express its deepest gratitude to you for the trust you have placed in it. My team and I are committed to working with transparency and strengthening communication, in order to thank you for this trust. Our priority is to work together to change things,” says Florence Rongione following the vote.
The LBVE list will therefore have 18 seats in the next municipal council from Longperrier. For its part, the “Priority to the essentials” list will have 5 opposition advisors “to make the voice of Longperrois heard and to defend them against all actions that could harm them”, writes the group, before to continue: “we remain combative for the next deadline in March 2026.”
It now remains to elect the new mayorwhich should undoubtedly be at the top of LBVE's list. Response Friday evening.
