Hubert Champouillon, president of the Sud Haute-Marne Multimedia association (SHMM) took stock, on December 3, in each of the computer science groups in order to take stock but also to present the next year of courses.
The association recently received the Rural Solidarity prize from the Grand Est Region and at the same time aid of €15,000 in addition to €7,000 from the Savings Bank. She won over the jury for her action aimed at lifting 200 people out of digital exclusion in two years through three axes: equipping at lower cost through the collection and reconditioning of computers to resell them at cost price, training in organizing introductory sessions of 25 to 30 hours in collective workshops, and supporting, by training volunteers in the role of digital caregiver for free support for people.
SHMM is delighted and can welcome this timely assistance to balance the budget. Since its beginnings in 2008, the association has already trained more than 1,000 people. Currently, there are 176 members, sixteen IT groups at different levels with Franck as leader. Year-round courses but also modules offering a few sessions on very specific themes.
Interested people are invited to make themselves known. The Sud Haute-Marne Multimédia association (SHMM) organizes training at the rate of two hours per week in different locations in the territory of the community of communes of Savoir-Faire: acquiring the basic knowledge to properly use a computer, a smartphone or a tablet, surf the Internet, do your business online, communicate via messaging or social networks, know how to use very practical applications and do this in complete security to avoid hacking or scams.
