Encouraged by the Coodyssée activity cooperative, nine women are taking advantage of the Christmas holidays to do business. In nine days, they created a pop-up Christmas cookie-making cooperative. And thus, all links in the chain are trained: status creation, price calculation, forecasting, communication, production, sales and balance sheet.
The members of the collective, with varied profiles – employed or retraining – are between 23 and 50 years old. “They are thinking about whether entrepreneurship might suit them. The goal is for them to gain self-confidence, to “do” rather than only theoretical training. They have varied entrepreneurial projects: sophrology, gastronomy, popular education, etc.,” explains Julia Himmler, support manager at Coodyssée. She continues: “Coodyssée is made up of 60% women. We are attentive to their specific needs. Through their socialization, women need to gain confidence in themselves, in their legitimacy, to negotiate fair prices. »
This is the seventh consecutive year that Coodyssée has launched such an initiative. Of the 40 women who have participated in this project over the past seven years, at least 12 have started their own businesses.
