Two people taken into custody
Arriving at Place de Genève, near the Pathé cinema, they noticed that a group of around fifteen people were attacking a man on the ground and beating him. The police intervened but the group immediately turned on them and attacked them. When put in difficulty, the two police officers were beaten up. Then their attackers fled into the streets of the city center. A witness to the scene was also attacked and beaten.
First rescued by their colleagues, the two civil servants were taken care of by the firefighters and were transported to Chambéry hospital. Later in the evening, thanks to the report they were able to give to their colleagues, two people were arrested as they boarded a bus. These two people, both minors, were placed in police custody.
