Around ten people went to the Boulogne-sur-Mer (Pas-de-Calais) police station on Monday to report scams by a hairdresser in the city. He allegedly offered and sold fake tickets for Disneyland Paris.
He also allegedly created a false death announcement and opened a pot by inventing the death of a child. Donations were to be deposited directly at the hairdressing salon… He would also have invented a burglary or even sold mystery envelopes… but none of them would be winners.
Numerous testimonies from victims
The scams were denounced on social networks and several testimonies collected by France 3 Hauts-de-France. “I fell into his trap. I sent him messages asking for a refund, as well as on his wall, but to no avail,” explains one of his victims. In his Facebook post, the hairdresser explained that he wanted to “favor families with limited financial means” for places at Disneyland.

For its part, the funeral company cited on the death announcement denied being at the origin. “It is unacceptable to spread such lies and present false documents concerning our announcements,” reacts Robin Sotty, of the eponymous company, on social networks.
